She is a fully registered master with the IGPP (International Guild of Complementary Practitioners) a part of Embody, and was part of the original masters who sat around the table in 1998 with John Beaney, the chairman of the then GCP (Guild of Complementary Practitioners), to set standards of reiki training, with the aim to improve and standardise the quality of training in the UK.

She is also a full member of the NFSH (National Federation of Spiritual Healers).

Reiki Treatment
Reiki is an ancient hands-on healing gift rediscovered by Dr. Mikeo Usui in the late 19th Century. Reiki is a Japanese term for Universal Life Energy, the energy that exists in our bodies which gives us our life and our health.

Briefly, it is deep relaxation brought about by the increased contact with the Universal Life Energy from which, under Reiki's influence, we receive more than we could under normal circumstances.

Reiki Energy basically has five effects:
It brings about deep relaxation
Dissolves energy blockages
Detoxifies the body
Supplies healing Universal Life Energy
Increases the vibration frequency of the body

These five processes constantly interact. Through deep relaxation and its 'letting go', tension (blockages) on the physical and mental-emotional place are dissolved. Release of tension and blockages then permit's a normal flow of Universal Life Energy in all areas and a more rapid removal of waste products and toxins, thus allowing the body to heal and the emotions to balance.

In a Reiki session the amount of Reiki drawn is determined by the person receiving the treatment. Whoever receives Reiki energy draws the amount of life energy they need to take in. Sessions are done with the client laying down, relaxed and fully clothed whilst the practitioner lays on hands following a particular order of positions.

An appointment lasts approximately 60 minutes although shorter appointments can be arranged.

Reiki Training
Reiki is an ancient hands-on healing gift rediscovered by Dr. Mikeo Usui in the late 19th Century. Everyone has this gift but few of us have developed it. The Reiki attunements can 'wake up' this innate ability we all have giving us access to the universal source of unconditional love.

Reiki is not 'taught', instead it is transferred to the student during an attunements process carried out by the Reiki Master (Teacher). These attunements open the crown, heart and palm chakras and form a personal link between the student and the Reiki source.

Once you have received the Reiki attunements you will have Reiki for the rest of your life. It does not wear off and you can never lose it.

The Reiki attunements can start a cleansing process affecting the physical body as well as the mind and emotions. Toxins that have been stored in the body may be released along with the feelings and thought patterns no longer useful. Regular use of Reiki energy on yourself and others assists in personal development.

It can be used safely on children, the elderly and infirm and those with illnesses of any nature. It's none invasive approach provides a wonderful complement to other hands-on therapies or those who work in all aspects of the health care profession.

Reiki I
As well as your 4 attunements the syllabus includes the history of Reiki, it's nature, instructions on how to treat yourself and others, information on the chakras, creating a healing space and the role of mind in healing. There will be ample time to practice your new skill and come to grips with your personal relationship with the energy. Further information will be covered as time allows. Bring lunch to share.

Reiki II
There are 2 attunements. Students will also be introduced to the three sacred symbols. Instruction and time for practice will be given. We will look at scanning the energetic body and raising the intuition level for our energy work. Case studies are required as part of this course and details of this will be given.
